FOLLOW UP VISITS
We will see you again at week 4, 8 and 16 to take a small sample of blood (between 2-3 ml of blood) this visit will last about one hour only. The purpose of the blood sample is to assess how your blood count, liver and kidneys are reacting to the vaccine (making antibodies to strengthen your immune system against TB).
At weeks 2 and 8, an induced sputum test will be performed (inhaling a little bit of sterile water and salt to help produce secretions in your throat so you can spit a sample for us).
Approximately 2 or 3 days after you came for the sputum test you will be coming back for a bronchoscopy procedure because we need to take secretions and samples from your lungs to assess how your lungs are responding to the vaccine.
*** MONETARY COMPENSATION IS OFFERED FOR ALL VISITS AND FOR EACH BRONCHOSCOPY PLEASE CONTACT US TO FIND OUT MORE
